The latest WWE wrestler to get their marching orders is long time veteran Bob “Hardcore” Holly.
Holly makes quite a decent paycheck, but because he is out of action, the pay obviously doesn’t suit the means and they’ve let him go. He was sent to rehab last year for a pain pill addiction and hasn’t wrestled since. I assume he’ll still stay in WWE’s rehab center, if he isn’t already at home.
Holly has been with WWE for over a decade, gaining most of his fame when he adopted the “Hardcore” style during the attitude era. This eventually led to the hiring of Crash Holly and Molly Holly as his extended family and the trio consistently shared air time on TV.
Although he never got the big one, he has main evented against Brock Lesnar and Triple H, and was considered an old school hand backstage. It’s a shame his addiction got the better of him, because he obviously has a lot to teach the younger guys, even if he beats them up a little along the way.
He was last on TV during the whole Cody Rhodes storyline
